ART BARN is an exhibition space located in Husaviken, Stockholm. Husaviken which is a part of the king’s grounds on norra djurgården is an area mostly consisting of fields and vernacular architecture. To honour the typology I suggested a steel structure with forms that flirt with the surrounding barns. It’s like an upscaled shiny barn from space. The facade is clad in acid-treated aluminium and the lower part can open up to the fields around the building. Artworks are exhibited from boards hanging from the ceiling and can be moved and replaced depending on the exhibition.
